  • 350 total hours
  • Classes meet Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Class hours: 6:00PM to 9:30PM
 

Electrician Night Training

6-Month Course: Classroom & Hands-on, three nights per week.

Introduction to Motor Controls

6-Night Course: Book & Hands-on, 6-9 pm

Learn the basics of Motor Control.
Subjects Covered

Course will cover the following:

  1. NEMA Size Motor Starters
  2. I.E.C. Motor Starters
  3. Basics of VFDs

Motor Controls II

6-Night Course: Book & Hands-on, 6-9 pm

Advanced Control Wiring (basic knowledge of motor controls required).
Subjects Covered

Course will cover the following:

  1. Multiple Start / Stop control stations
  2. Advanced VFD Wiring
  3. Troubleshooting

Introduction to Conduit Bending

5-Night Course: Book & Hands-on, 6-9 pm

Learn the basics of bending conduit.
Subjects Covered

Course will cover the following:

  1. Basic fundamentals of hand bending EMT Conduit
  2. Bending ½ , ¾, and 1-inch EMT conduit
  3. Learning off sets, 90s, and saddles

Conduit Bending II

5-Night Course: Book & Hands-on, 6-9 pm

Advanced Control Wiring (basic knowledge of motor controls required).
Subjects Covered

Course will cover the following:

  1. Troubleshooting
  2. Bending up to 1 ¼ EMT Conduit
  3. Bending Rigid Conduit, ¼ , ½ , and 1-inch
  4. Introduction to the smart bender and Chicago Bender

Introduction to Blueprint Reading

2-Night Course: 6-9 pm

CLASS FOR ENTRY LEVEL ELECTRICIANS. Learn to read blueprints.
Subjects Covered

Course will cover the following:

  1. Electrical symbols and meanings
  2. Reading to scale
  3. Lay out to the NEC

Customer Service for Residential Electricians

2-Night Course: 6-9 pm

Learn to provide exceptional customer service.
Subjects Covered

Course will cover the following:

  1. Proper ways to introduce yourself to the customer
  2. Body language
    – How to control it
    – How customers interpret your gestures
    – The importance of the first impression
  3. Making the customer feel comfortable with you in the home
    – How to properly and clearly explain issues and the corrective actions being taken to address those issues with the client
  4. Learn to deal with difficult customer personalities
  5. Dealing with customers in emergency situations
