6-Month Course: Classroom & Hands-on, three nights per week.
An accelerated six-month learning program.
Introduction to Motor Controls
6-Night Course: Book & Hands-on, 6-9 pm
Learn the basics of Motor Control.
Subjects Covered
Course will cover the following:
- NEMA Size Motor Starters
- I.E.C. Motor Starters
- Basics of VFDs
Motor Controls II
6-Night Course: Book & Hands-on, 6-9 pm
Advanced Control Wiring (basic knowledge of motor controls required).
Subjects Covered
Course will cover the following:
- Multiple Start / Stop control stations
- Advanced VFD Wiring
- Troubleshooting
Introduction to Conduit Bending
5-Night Course: Book & Hands-on, 6-9 pm
Learn the basics of bending conduit.
Subjects Covered
Course will cover the following:
- Basic fundamentals of hand bending EMT Conduit
- Bending ½ , ¾, and 1-inch EMT conduit
- Learning off sets, 90s, and saddles
Conduit Bending II
5-Night Course: Book & Hands-on, 6-9 pm
Advanced Control Wiring (basic knowledge of motor controls required).
Subjects Covered
Course will cover the following:
- Troubleshooting
- Bending up to 1 ¼ EMT Conduit
- Bending Rigid Conduit, ¼ , ½ , and 1-inch
- Introduction to the smart bender and Chicago Bender
Introduction to Blueprint Reading
2-Night Course: 6-9 pm
CLASS FOR ENTRY LEVEL ELECTRICIANS. Learn to read blueprints.
Subjects Covered
Course will cover the following:
- Electrical symbols and meanings
- Reading to scale
- Lay out to the NEC
Customer Service for Residential Electricians
2-Night Course: 6-9 pm
Learn to provide exceptional customer service.
Subjects Covered
Course will cover the following:
- Proper ways to introduce yourself to the customer
- Body language
– How to control it
– How customers interpret your gestures
– The importance of the first impression - Making the customer feel comfortable with you in the home
– How to properly and clearly explain issues and the corrective actions being taken to address those issues with the client - Learn to deal with difficult customer personalities
- Dealing with customers in emergency situations
